The Gustavian collection pays tribute to the kinship that exists between French and Swedish furniture designs. Determined to turn Stockholm into ‘the Paris of the North’, King Gustav III married French and Swedish furniture design to create timeless furniture that exudes simplistic elegance.

Inherently Gustavian in style is our Gustavian chair; a perfect piece to display independently or paired with the Gustavian Dressing Table. Slim, long legs have been hand-carved, with simple detailing up the stem leading up to acorn finials that add an element of visual intrigue. In true Gustavian style, symmetrical carvings have been added to the body of the chair, which surrounds tailored pale ivory linen upholstery, finished with piped edging. Elements of crest-back-styling complete the chair, combining style with functionality and comfort.
